The Manager of Sustainability manages the development and implementation of environmental programs and projects from within the newly formed Project Delivery and Sustainability Department. Irvine takes great pride in being a regional leader in advancing sustainability initiatives and environmental programs are a top City priority. Community outreach and consensus-building with the public are essential to success in this role. The successful candidate will also be results-driven with the ability to complete projects from a conceptual basis. They must also be able to inspire a team with a leadership style grounded in humility.

Competitive candidates will offer six years of related professional experience in environmental management or compliance, energy management, waste reduction, energy efficiency and/or environmental sustainability principles, and a Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree and LEED accreditation preferred.
