The Park Manager is the management class responsible for overall administration and supervision of the Park and Tree Divisions. The incumbent is responsible for planning and scheduling staff assignments and monitoring work production of the assigned divisions. The incumbent provides ongoing monitoring of service delivery and manages several construction and maintenance contracts. In addition, the incumbent oversees landscape design review and provides oversight for Community Development projects citywide. This classification is distinguished from the next higher classification of Director of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services in that the latter has overall administrative responsibility for the Park and Tree Divisions.
