Reporting to the Executive Director of Community Life & Culture, the Recreation/Community Services Director oversees youth, teen, adult, and senior services, facility reservations, park programming, sports, special events, and aquatics. The Director is supported by 37 full-time and up to 300 part-time employees with a $15.5 million annual budget.
The City seeks a recreation professional with a passion for the community to join a collaborative team committed to high quality service delivery. This inspiring and fun professional will have strong interpersonal skills and a track record of successful relationships. Competitive candidates will offer at least 7 years of progressively responsible municipal experience with 5 years supervising and administering community service programs and events, including 2 years extensive experience in a management capacity plus a Bachelor’s degree.
