Under direction, to perform the more difficult and complex office and field engineering tasks related to design, traffic engineering, construction plan review, contract administration and inspection of County construction projects, landfill facility improvements, related facilities; and to do other work as required.
The current vacancy is in the Construction Management division of the Department of Public Works. This division manages construction projects for the various sections of the Public Works Department; these include projects for Roads, Sanitation / Wastewater, Stormwater, and Flood Control. Duties of the position typically include field inspection and contract administration for local, State, and Federal funded projects, management of multiple construction projects inspected by County hired consultants, and constructability reviews of forthcoming projects.
