Senior Engineering Associate

The City of West Hollywood is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to work on a variety of engineering responsibilities related to the design, construction, management, and administration of capital improvement projects.  These projects may include roadway restoration, street beautifications, utility rehabs and installations, traffic control modifications, and other engineering type projects.  In this role, you will work on plan check review services for building permit applications and permit issuance services for construction permit applications. You will also assist with the asset management program, working on regulatory compliance measures, infrastructure analysis reports and studies, budget and cost estimate preparations, and maintenance activities.  The City is looking for a highly motivated and excited individual with the technical and administrative expertise to successfully see these projects through to completion.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Civil Engineering, Traffic/Transportation Engineering, or related field; and,
• Four to Five years of full time progressively responsible professional level experience in civil engineering or traffic engineering, including two years of experience in construction project management.
• Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, complex, analytical skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Valid California Driver's License
• Engineer-in-Training Certificate

Salary: $114,025.44 - $145,693.44 Annually
