SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNER
VALLEY WATER, CALIFORNIA
ANNUAL SALARY: $125,000 - $160,000 DOQ/DOE
Valley Water is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner who will oversee the environmental planning processes for all Valley Water projects. This is a unique opportunity to help lead a team of environmental planners and support Valley Water’s most important and complex capital projects in the areas of flood protection, dams and reservoirs, infrastructure improvements, and environmental stewardship.

THE JOB/THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The Senior Environmental Planner serves an integral leadership role, overseeing up to five talented associate and assistant-level environmental planners. They also lead the environmental review and permitting process for some of Valley Water’s most complex projects and collaborate effectively with other cities, counties, and state and federal agencies such as U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Regional Water Quality Control Board.
The successful candidate will be an environmental project manager who understands the importance of resilience and adaptability and has an in-depth knowledge of CEQA and NEPA, along with federal, state, and regional permitting regulations and processes.
