The City of Ventura is hiring! The City of Ventura Finance Department is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the team. We are seeking experienced finance professionals with a strong financial analysis and budgeting background. The Senior Financial Analyst will perform various financial tasks and provide direction to highly responsible administrative staff. The Senior Financial Analyst assists in preparing the City's operating and capital improvement budget, monitors fund balances for funds, reports significant management changes, and may participate in developing, implementing, and maintaining computerized financial system controls. This position also assists various departments in conducting comprehensive financial analysis and studies. This team member is responsible for forecasting and monitoring departmental and citywide expenses and revenues.

-skilled in budget and financial database management
-experienced in the administration of federal, state, and local grants
-experienced with capital improvement (CIP) budgets, cost projections, and funding management

-priority-driven, eliminating roadblocks and quickly zeroing in on what’s important
-strategic thinking, displaying curiosity and imagination in looking beyond the obvious

Salary: $92,342.22 - $123,739.82 Annually DOQ
