Supervising Accountant

The City of Oceanside is accepting applications for Supervising Accountant. There is currently one vacancy in the Financial Services Department. This position will provide accounting support to the City's treasury activity, such as: record and reconcile all trade activity (as reported by Investment Advisory Group) to the General Ledger, work with Investment Advisory Group to prepare monthly and quarterly reports on investment activity, investment account reconciliation, daily cash flow projections, prepare/review journal entries of daily cash receipts, debt service payments, annual debt disclosures, assist with debt issuance, management of cash courier services contract, managing banking relationships, reconcile and research discrepancies between the GL and bank, administer citywide credit card program, manage contracts, bring annual assessments to council, track and manage revenues, treasury and debt service budget preparation and management, resolve banking issues such as positive pay and EFT payment rejects. This position will report to the Accounting Manager. 

Salary: $77,580.00 - $103,980.00 Annually 

Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible professional accounting experience including one year of lead supervisory responsibility. 
Training: A Bachelor's degree with major course work in accounting, business administration or a closely related field.
