Contra Costa County is recruiting qualified individuals to fill the important role of Treasurer’s Investment Operations Analyst in the Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office. There is one (1) vacancy in the Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office in Martinez, CA.
The Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office (TTC) has a staff of approximately 25 employees organized into two Offices that provide full treasury and tax collection services to County Departments, School Districts, Special Districts/Agencies, and the public.
The TTC is accountable directly to the citizens for how the public’s money is managed. We strive to serve the citizens, agencies, and employees of Contra Costa County with timely and accurate services in a manner that is fair, legal, and courteous. We use modern, innovative, cost-effective, and flexible methodologies to maintain the highest quality of service and satisfaction.
The Treasurer’s Office of TTC holds a key position of public trust in the financial affairs of Contra Costa County. It is the custodian of all funds for Contra Costa County Departments, School Districts, and Special Districts/Agencies. The Treasurer’s Office operates much like a bank – it receipts, disburses, invests, and accounts for the funds of each of these entities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business or public administration, finance, accounting, economics or a closely related field.
Experience: Four (4) years full-time, or its equivalent, professional experience in accounting, financial management or banking which must have provided a working knowledge of bank operations and the principles and techniques of short term investment.
SELECTION PROCESS:
Application Filing and Evaluation: Applications will be evaluated to determine which candidates will move forward in the next phase of the recruitment process.
Online Assessment: Candidates that possess the minimum qualifications will be invited to participate in an online assessment that may contain oral and written responses. The assessment is designed to measure candidates' competencies as they relate to the classification. Candidates must achieve an average passing score of 70% or higher on each of the competencies assessed, as well as an overall passing score of 70% or higher. These may include but are not limited to: Analyzing and Interpreting Data, Professional and Technical Expertise, Innovative Problem Solving, Interpersonal Savvy, and Writing. (Weighted: 100%)
Hiring Interview: Tentatively Scheduled for the week of September 9th.
