Tree Maintenance Worker I/II

The City of Ventura’s Parks and Recreation Department has an immediate vacancy for the position of Tree Maintenance Worker I/II. We are seeking candidates interested in a rewarding position and who have experience with sidewalk and tree care tasks including planting, fertilizing, watering, trimming, and removal of public trees in the city, and performing sidewalk repair.  This is a great time to join the City of Ventura and the Parks and Recreation team!
 
We are looking for a candidate who:

• Takes pride in caring for trees in City parks, parkways, and other areas. 
• Works well in highly visible areas and is able to interact courteously with all members of the public. 
• Has a "can-do" attitude with great customer service skills. 
• Is a self-starter with a strong work ethic and can get the job done with minimal direct supervision.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Has good understanding of NAA and ANSI tree trimming standards.

The City offers a total compensation package that includes both a generous salary plus excellent benefit! Salary: $20.22 - $27.02 Hourly DOQ.
