An ongoing dispute between Moreno Valley City Councilman Jeff Giba and City Manager Tom DeSantis has reached new heights, with the city manager accusing the councilman of making anti-Semitic remarks and harassing staff at City Hall.
Giba has denied that any of the comments he has made are anti-Semitic in nature. He admits to making comments about Jews on a couple of occasions, but says they weren’t meant to be insulting.
One such comment came in a holiday video which was recently released by DeSantis. City leaders were recording holiday wishes and Giba had this to say:
“Happy Hanukkah to all of my circumcised brethren.”
