Carson has promoted its assistant city manager, David C. Roberts, Jr., to the chief executive’s role.

Jason Ledbetter, who previously served as executive director of corporate services for Siskiyou County, is the new city manager of Yreka. Ledbetter took office on January 11.

Palos Verdes Estates has hired a longtime public administrator as its next city manager. Mark T. Prestwich was hired unanimously by the city council on Jan. 12.
