The City of West Covina is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking leader to serve as its next Fire Chief. Reporting directly to the City Manager, the Fire Chief will oversee all operations of the West Covina Fire Department—providing leadership, direction and administrative oversight to ensure effective fire suppression, emergency medical services, fire prevention and community risk reduction.
The City of Pleasanton (pop. 79,871), located 40 miles southeast of San Francisco, is a vibrant community with an exceptional quality of life marked by a low crime rate, award-winning schools, and a diversified economic base. The Public Works Department is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the City’s infrastructure. The Utilities and Environmental Services Division, supported by 40 FTE, is responsible for planning, operating, and maintaining the City’s water facilities, sewer collection, and storm drain systems.
Located just 12 miles south of San Francisco in San Mateo County, San Bruno is known as the “City with a Heart” serving a population of 45,000 within 5.5 square miles. The community offers a small-town atmosphere within a large metropolitan setting. The city has robust economic development plans and will be replacing both its fire stations in the coming years. The Fire Department is supported by 37 sworn positions.
