SHRA is looking for an exceptional, team-oriented Agency Clerk that is looking to work with an governmental organization that is dedicated to Changing Lives. SHRA’s mission is to revitalize communities, provide affordable housing opportunities and to serve as the Housing Authority for the City and County of Sacramento. The Agency Clerk is responsible for working across department lines and must make contributions in an environment of cultural and ethnic diversity.

Under legislative authority and executive-level policy direction, the Agency Clerk performs and oversees the activities and functions of the Office of the Agency Clerk; performs highly advanced administrative tasks as prescribed by the various ordinances and resolutions; initiates, develops, and implements policies and procedures to administer the work of the Office of the City Clerk; maintains and disseminates records of action of governing bodies, ordinances, resolutions, codes and other government documents; provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the members of the SHRA Commission.

Program Operations
• Manage the staff report process for Agency reports to the SHRA Commission, City Council and County Board of Supervisors;
• Monitor compliance with ordinances and by-laws regulating the SHRA Commission and update as necessary;
• Establishes department goals, objectives, policies and priorities;
• Develops policies and procedures required for effective development and implementation in support of mission, vision, and goals;
• Develops, directs and manages department budget;
• Assesses and monitors workload administration and support systems;
• Assign duties and examines work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures;
• Supervises Assistant Agency Clerk, Agency receptionist, Copy room clerk, and other staff in the Executive office as needed;
• Serves as custodian of official records and public documents;
• Performs certification and recording as required on legal documents and other records requiring such certification;
• Attends regular and special SHRA Commission meetings; oversees or performs an accurate recording of the proceedings; preparation of the minutes proper legislative terminology; distributes information as requested;
• Acts as filing officer for filings and conflict of interest statements;
• Responsible for the cataloging and filing of SHRA records;
• Administers and directs the posting, mailing and publication of legally required notices of public hearings in accordance with the Brown Act;
• Responsible for the preparation and distribution of agendas, materials, minutes and records of meetings.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Communication, Business Administration, or related field,

Experience: Five (5) years related experience in working in the public sector. Two (2) years in supervision preferred.
