This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing operational responsibilities and projects including, but not limited to:
 
· Manage and provide professional development for a diverse team of individuals overseeing Administration, Public Information, and Information Technology;
· Collaborate with other departments and staff  ensuring timelines and budget constraints are met;
· Oversee contracts with service providers and investigate problems encountered by residents and business owners;
· Provide oversight in the follow-up and implementation of Council decisions and requests;
· Research, analyze, and prepare a variety of complex and highly visible projects; and
· Monitor and assist in the preparation of a large and complex budget.

QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, abilities and skills is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the qualifications would be:
 
BA/BS in planning, public administration, business administration or related field and four (4) years increasingly responsible experience in municipal government operations, including one (1) year of supervisory experience. Masters degree and bilingual skills highly desirable. Ability to exercise cultural sensitivity awareness is desirable.
 
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE
Possession of a Valid Class C California Driver’s License and a good driving record.
