Assistant City Manager

Conveniently located in the heart of Orange County, the City of Tustin (pop. 81,369) is known for offering an exceptional quality of life. Tustin is supported by 301 FTE and a FY2019-20 General Fund budget of $70 million (total budget $217 million). The Assistant City Manager will help oversee the day-to-day operations of the City as well as have the opportunity to lead high profile projects and initiatives.
A well-rounded local government professional, the ideal candidate will be a respected advisor and self-directed problem solver. In-depth familiarity with municipal government operations and practices and a history of successful project and people management will be expected. A minimum of seven (7) years of management and/or administrative experience with a broad range of relevant accomplishments and a bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or closely related field is required. A master’s degree is preferred.
