This is an at-will executive leadership classification that functions as an assistant department head and reports directly to a Department Director. This position serves as the Deputy Director of Children and Adult Programs and is responsible to develop, implement, and evaluate goals, objectives, policies, and procedures related to the assigned services; provide effective leadership of agency staff; prioritize and allocate resources within the branch; oversee the development of branch budget; and balance fiscal priorities among divisions, projects, and programs. Lead multi-disciplinary teams with membership from multiple departments, labor organizations, the community, and/or other governmental agencies; exercise a high level of independent action and decision making over department operations; functions as the Department/Corporate Leader in Director’s absence; interfaces with the CEO and BOS at a policy making level; and coordinates resources and decision making with other departments.
