DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND TECHNOLOGY SERVICES
CITY OF LAGUNA BEACH, CALIFORNIA
Salary: $140,268 - $215,244 DOE/DOQ
The City of Laguna Beach, California, seeks an experienced and skilled individual to fill the role of Director of Finance and Technology Services. This executive leadership position oversees the Finance and Technology Services Divisions and reports to the Assistant City Manager/Chief Financial Officer. This Director will lead a team of 13 staff, including two Division managers. You will be responsible for managing a Department budget of $2.5 million and facilitating the budgeting process for the entire City, which has an approximate budget of $125 million. In this role, you will bring both technical expertise and strong communication skills and support various special projects, such as the oversight and implementation of a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. In this hands-on role, you will lead a team of 13 professionals and administrative staff (seven in Finance and six in Technology Services). You will have the chance to develop and implement innovative projects and foster a positive and supportive culture that promotes mentorship and growth. As the ideal candidate, you will be an effective leader with a strong technical background. You will work to support and oversee the successful implementation of a new ERP system. In addition to your technical expertise, you will possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate emotional intelligence and political acumen.
