In our dynamic environment of an authentic downtown, thriving arts and culture scene, an ideal mix of retail, restaurants, art galleries and concert venues, you will use your expertise as a consensus-builder with excellent interpersonal skills to develop and oversee programs that promote economic growth and quality development in the Central City Business District. You’ll serve as a liaison between the City and business interests in the downtown to sponsor and support a variety of activities that enhance economic and community vitality.
REQUIRES: Two years of responsible experience in the development and coordination of economic development programs or land use planning. Bachelor’s degree in urban studies, planning, economic development, marketing, communication or a related field may be used in conjunction with experience to meet the necessary qualifications; possession and retention of a valid California Class C driver’s license; willingness and ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
