General Manager

Position: General Manager Agency: Lamont Public Utility District Salary: $150,000 (currently under review) Benefits: Calpers retirement, 2% at 60 classic members 7% paid by employee, 2% at 62 pepera members 6.25% employee contribution, Health Blue Shield HMO 20% paid by employee, dental and vision 100% paid by district for employee and family, vacation sick and holiday leave included. The Community: Lamont Public Utility District provides water, sewer and street lighting services to a community of 13,000 people. Lamont is an unincorporated area of Kern County six miles south of the City of Bakersfield in sunny southern California. The Position: The General Manager is the administrative head of the entire organization. The General Manager is an at-will position reporting directly to the elected board of directors. The General Manager administers and coordinates the activities and operations of the District. Duties include but are not limited to administration, planning, finance, budget, CIP, personnel, maintenance, operations and purchasing. Requirements: A class C driver’s license is required to perform the duties of the General Manager. A full background will be required.
