About the position
San Joaquin General Hospital is seeking a highly ethical, principled and talented Chief Financial Officer to join the Executive Management team to provide leadership and administrative oversight its financial activities. The Hospital Chief Financial Officer is a key member of the executive management team at San Joaquin General Hospital. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
The ideal Candidate
Well-qualified candidates will have a strong acute care financial administrative background and demonstrate experience with the principles and practices of healthcare administration including revenue cycle, budget and fiscal management, financial planning and analysis, hospital registration and billing, team building and supervision of financial staff. Candidates must also be well versed with the day-to-day operational financial needs of an acute care hospital along with the financial policies, laws, and regulations that are unique to a designated public hospital.
Desirable Qualifications
Education: Possession of a master’s degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, economics, or closely related field.
Experience: Five years of responsible management experience in financial management and accounting in an acute care hospital environment.
License/Certification: CPA preferred; membership (or eligibility for membership) in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) is desirable.
Compensation and Benefits
Approximate Annual Base Salary:
$295,064—$358,652
In addition to the base salary, the County offers an excellent compensation and benefits plan which includes a county contribution to health insurance, dental and vision insurance plans. Other benefits also offered by the County include:

New Hire Retention Bonus
• $2,000 upon completion of first year equivalent employment (2,080 hours)
• $1,000 upon completion of third year equivalent employment (6,240 hours)
• $3,000 upon completion of sixth year equivalent employment (12,480 hours)
