THE POSITION
The Senior Analyst performs a variety of highly complex and sensitive analytical and administrative duties in support of the City Manager’s Office, including implementation of the City’s casino agreements. The position researches, compiles, analyzes and tracks data, and reports. The Senior Analyst also makes recommendations on a broad range of issues and actions associated with City funding, staffing, operations, and special projects.
OBJECTIVE
We are seeking a dedicated individual with a unique combination of financial, analytical, administrative, and negotiating skills. This position requires a high degree of initiative and independent thinking to take steps necessary to proactively ensure the City's financial interests are protected. In addition, the incumbent will support the City Manager's Office with analysis needed to support other City management functions.
EDUCATION
Graduation from a four-year college. Preferred, although not required, coursework includes business, public administration, economics, accounting, engineering or a closely related field.
EXPERIENCE
Four years of progressively responsible experience which has included accounting, recordkeeping, financial analysis, budget forecasting, resource planning, policy analysis, research, budget development and administration, and communication technologies.
