SENIOR MANAGEMENT ANALYST
$83,496.00 - $111,780.00 Annually
The City of Oceanside is currently accepting applications for current and future vacancies for the position of Senior Management Analyst. The current vacancy is in the Development Services Department, which is composed of the Planning, Engineering, Building, and Code Enforcement divisions. The Department provides current and long-range land use planning, plan checking and inspection services for development projects, and enforcement of the Oceanside City Code.
The Senior Management Analyst position is a member of the Department’s leadership team with key responsibilities in providing professional administrative assistance, conducting extensive analytical studies, improving organizational effectiveness, and assisting with facilitation of the Department’s developer deposit fund, impact fee funds, grants, and capital improvement project accounts. The position is also responsible for the preparation and on-going monitoring of the Department’s annual budget. Under general direction, the Senior Management Analyst performs complex, sensitive, and difficult departmental and City-wide administrative, analytical, and support work; performs responsible technical research work in management areas; assists in analysis and provides recommendations to address departmental and City-wide issues; and performs related work as required. Supervisory responsibility over office staff is required. The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized, team-oriented, flexible, and resourceful individual with experience in the public sector.
Qualified applicants must possess five years of increasingly responsible professional and administrative/analytical work equivalent to the level of Management Analyst and a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, economics, business administration or a related discipline. A Master’s Degree is highly desirable.
