THE POSITION:  Under administrative direction of the City Manager, performs complex work in assisting the City Manager in the general operation and management of the City government. Plans, organizes, integrates, directs, and coordinates activities; plays a central role in developing and providing direction to staff related to implementation of City policy, City Council strategic goals and priority programs of the City; provides assistance to the City Manager with work of great complexity and sensitivity.

About the Position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is an exempt, at-will position and serves at the pleasure of the General Manager. The AGM role is a new position at the District and will be a critical member of the District’s Mangement Team. The AGM receives administrative direction from the General Manager.
