The City Council is seeking candidates for the City Manager position who recognize the history and unique character of the Town and will guide the policymakers in maintaining the quality of life that residents value and cherish. The City of South San Francisco is located in northern San Mateo County on the western shore of San Francisco Bay, just ten miles south of San Francisco. The city is home to 66,105 residents over its 30 square miles and is centrally located to many of the Bay Area’s transportation systems, including Highway 101, I-280, Caltrain, San Francisco International Airport, the Bay Area Rapid Transit District Commuter Rail System (BART), and the San Francisco Bay Ferry.

Police Support Services Manager

Located in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, San Leandro serves a population of approx. 90,000. The Police Support Services Manager oversees 21 FTEs in the Police Support Services Division, including the Communications Center, Records Unit, and Technology. 

The ideal candidate will have the proven ability to effectively plan and oversee daily functions while also managing special projects, including the completion of a brand new Communications Center, 911 system upgrades, and selecting and implementing a new CAD/RMS. 

Human Resources Group Manager (Director Level)

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) is a state-established cooperative of 26 member agencies – cities, municipal water districts and one county water authority – that serve 19 million people. Headquartered in downtown Los Angeles, about half of MWD’s employees work at headquarters with the other half at field facilities. MWD’s biennial budget for FY 2023/24-2024/25 reflects 1,929 FTEs. The Human Resources Group Manager reports to the Assistant General Manager – Chief Financial Officer and oversees a staff of 46 FTEs with an annual operating budget of $16.1 million.
