Surveyor - Assistant

The Placer County Community Development Resource Agency is recruiting for a permanent, full-time Assistant Surveyor in Auburn, California. The Assistant Surveyor performs a variety of professional land surveying activities under the direction of a licensed land surveyor, with an emphasis on job duties performed in the office and some supplemental duties performed in the field. This position provides technical and professional review of survey maps, survey documents, and improvement plans submitted to the County.

This position will work on advance planning assignments approximately 80% time with the remaining time working on current planning activities. The senior planner for advanced planning will have primary responsibility for leading specific plan updates, general plan updates, and zoning code updates proactively and in response to new and changed state legislation.
