Deputy Community Development Director

We are seeking an innovative and proactive Deputy Community Development Director with a positive, forward-thinking perspective.  The Deputy Director will play a key role in the General Plan Update and the Civic Center Master Plan Process.  He or she will direct and manage process improvement initiatives department-wide, one of which is for the City to be a leader in e-planning and e-permitting.  This Deputy will also be responsible for code compliance, open space planning support, CDBG/housing, budget, and administrative services.  This Deputy will serve as back-up liaison

Engineering Technician I

The Job: Under general supervision, to perform a variety of moderate to complex office and field technical engineering tasks related to construction plan review, permit processing, surveying, inspecting, drafting, document preparation, record keeping, office research and assisting the public; and to perform other duties as required. Engineering Technician I is the first working level in the series. Incumbents perform more routine tasks independently and receive closer supervision when assisting in more complex engineering tasks.
