Senior Plan Check Engineer

Assigns and schedules work; evaluates and supervises professional staff assigned to plan check functions. Provides advice and information to engineers, architects, contractors, developers, owners and the general public regarding federal, state, and municipal building code laws and regulations. Provides expert technical advice to plan check engineers and other staff members regarding complex structural engineering problems. Reviews and approves building permit applications and final construction documents. Assists division manager in preparation of division budget and reports.

Engineering Associate

Under direction, to perform the more difficult and complex office and field engineering tasks related to design, construction plan review, contract administration, and inspection of County construction projects, land developments and related facilities; and to do other work as required. 

Senior Engineering Associate

Under direction, to perform the more difficult and complex office and field engineering tasks related to design, traffic engineering, construction plan review, contract administration and inspection of County construction projects, landfill facility improvements, related facilities; and to do other work as required.
 

Engineer II / III / Senior Civil Engineer

The position will be responsible for Development Engineering.  The selected candidate will work with developers and their engineers reviewing proposed development plans, issuing “will-serve” letters, determining development conditions and creating development agreements on all development projects within the City.  The engineer will insure that public improvements meet all City standards.  Experience either as a municipal development engineer or as a consultant working on development projects is desirable.  The position will be filled at one of the following levels:
