Environmental Planning Manager

The County of San Luis Obispo seeks an Environmental Planning Manager (historically known as the Environmental Coordinator) to join the Department of Planning and Building. This position offers the right candidate an opportunity to apply their expertise on a wide array of current planning projects, complex environmental and coastal development plans, and work closely with the environmental review board, planning commission, and other hearing bodies.
 

Senior Planner

The Planning Division facilitates new development consistent with the City's General Plan, Zoning Ordinance, Sign Ordinance, Subdivision Ordinance, the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and other State, Federal and local regulations to maintain and enhance the community's quality of life through safety, revenue streams, and sustainability. 

Planning & Development Manager

Under administrative direction, manages and oversees the Development Department of the City; performs advanced professional level planning duties; develops and maintains the General Plan, zoning ordinances, housing program, development review and California Environmental Quality Act (C.E.Q.A.) documents; reviews entitlement applications; coordinates the environmental review process; makes presentations to the Planning Commission and City Council; supervises subordinate staff and performs related duties as required.

Building Officer

Salary: $11,673 - $14,411/mo. Job Summary:  Responsible for the administration and enforcement of state laws and City ordinances governing the construction, use and maintenance of structures, buildings, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on private and public property throughout the City; oversees and performs plan review, building inspection, permit issuance, and code enforcement activities. Requires:  Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture or a closely related field.
