THE POSITION
The City of Dublin, a dynamic and growing community, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to be responsible for providing professional engineering assistance to the City.  Responsibilities will involve overseeing the Public Works Department’s development review, plan checking, and inspection activities.  The position is also responsible for review of City of Dublin parks and facilities projects.  This position reports to the City Engineer.

Summary:

Monthly Salary: $7,034.37- $9,031.36

Position Description:  Under administrative direction, the Director of Community Development plans, manages, oversees and directs the operations and services of the City’s Community Development Department including Planning, Building and Safety, Code Enforcement, and Fire Prevention. The Community Development Director also provides complex staff assistance to the Planning Commission and the City Council.

Purpose

The San Joaquin County Public Works Department is seeking dynamic and experienced individuals to join a progressive, public service employer.

The Water Resources Division has an opening for an Engineer V to fill a senior level engineering role, and work directly with the Water Resources Manager on current and future flood control and water supply efforts.

Under administrative direction plans, organizes, coordinates and directs activities of the Public Works Department; may function as County Surveyor; administers various state and federal grants and programs provides expert professional assistance and technical leadership to the Board of Supervisors and County management staff in areas of responsibility and performs related duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

Salary range is $139,810 - $182,419
