The Associate/Associate Civil/Traffic Engineer is responsible to perform professional engineering work in the investigation, planning, design, construction, and maintenance and operations of a variety of public works facilities, systems, and projects as well as residential, commercial, industrial, and multi-family building and development projects.

Principal Planner Salary: $104,791 – $141,469 DOE/DOQ

Definition
Under general direction, manage, supervise and coordinate the activities of the Planning Division including both current and advanced planning activities; coordinate planning activities with other City divisions and departments; provide highly complex staff assistance to the higher level management, the City Planning Commission, and the City Council; perform related duties as required.
 
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Supervision is provided by Director of Community Development or Deputy Director.

Definition of Position

Come join our team of amazing professionals!   The Assistant City Engineer is a mid-management classification which plans, coordinates, & supervises the work of professional engineering staff within the City’s Engineering Division.  Areas of responsibility include leadership and oversight for Capital Improvement Program (CIP) planning, design, and construction, permitting and land development services, traffic and transportation engineering programs, and construction inspection.

Under the direction of the Planning Director, The Planning Technician performs general entry level technical and paraprofessional work in the field of urban planning and zoning administration.

SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER

Future Salary Increases:
** July 2023 - 4.35% increase to base pay (2.75% Across-the-Board + 1.60% Market Increase)
** July 2024 - 4.35% increase to base pay (2.75% Across-the-Board + 1.60% Market Increase)

The following additional pay incentives and premiums are available
** 5% Engineer Premium (applied to time worked)
